MAKES LEGENDS

THE COORDINATES OF A

PLACE SO REMOTE THAT

EVEN GOOGLE MAPS SIGHS.

These are the Faroe Islands — all 18 of them, carved long ago by volcanic fire, sculpted by ancient glaciers, and polished by 10,000 years of wind with attitude. Here the cliffs hum, the weather throws tantrums, and the sheep judge your life choices.

IT'S A LATITUDE WITH A SPIRIT OF ITS OWN.

WE SIMPLY BOTTLED IT
AND NAMED IT

62NORDIC®.

Our logo is a nod to a sailor’s knot—the kind used to keep your boat steady when the ocean is feeling dramatic. It nods to the islands’ nautical roots and to the people who’ve navigated these waters for generations.

WHERE DO OUR INGREDIENTS COME FROM?

NOT WHERE YOU'D EXPECT

We hike into the ancient volcanic mountain range on the island of Suðuroy at dawn, dodge lava sea serpents, whisper ancient runes and…

OKAY, NO.
WE ALMOST HAD YOU.

(But seriously... imagine the lava sea serpents.)

The truth is just as magical.

The water filters through 55-million-year-old volcanic basalt and layers of red turf, picking up natural minerals and becoming beautifully alkaline (pH 8.3) and purer than your best intentions.

By the time it reaches us, it’s naturally alkaline, wonderfully balanced, and becomes the perfect base for vodka distilled from premium organic summer wheat resulting in a smoothness that borders on suspicious.

WHERE LEGENDS WALK

THE ISLANDS

The Faroe Islands were home to Vikings from 825–1035 CE who were explorers, warriors, storytellers, and people who absolutely drank something strong after a raid.

Meanwhile, the island sheep have been here for over a 1,000 years, thriving on these islands like wooly demigods. A ram even made it onto the bottle cap, which we did not approve…he just stood there until we said yes.

Sheep outnumber humans, come in many colours, and live semi-wild as if the islands were built just for them.

ONE DAY, A SPIRIT WORTHY OF THE GODS SHALL BE FORGED HERE.

- A Viking (Allegedly)

He then tripped over a sheep, which feels important to the story.

The islands are still alive with old legends and strange myths, one of the most famous being Kópakonan, the seal woman. We’re not going to get into the whole story here. Just know it’s beautifully haunting, slightly unsettling, and absolutely woven into Faroese history. You’ll even find a photo of her statue on one of our bottles.

If you’re curious, read the full tale for yourself… but don’t say we didn’t warn you.

HERITAGE WOVEN INTO

EVERY BOTTLE

Life here can get quiet. A storm rolls in, the internet rolls out, and suddenly everyone’s gathered in a knitting circle that feels just a touch ceremonial.

Faroese knit patterns carry centuries of storm lore, survival, and the woolly heritage of the islands’ most iconic residents. We honour that history with a debossed knit pattern on every bottle—our small tribute to the craft that’s kept island life warm for generations.

And the colours?
They come from the Faroese flag, Merkið meaning “the mark,” or “the banner.” Faroese pride runs deep. Compliment someone’s flag and they’ll invite you in for cake.

We use those colours not just because they look striking but because they’re woven into the identity of the islands themselves.

THE ISLANDS
THROUGH LOCAL EYES

You'll spot a photo on our bottles, each one taken somewhere on the Faroe Islands. All images are taken by locals, chosen because they reflect the true nature of these islands: beautiful, unruly, and alive.
